The anthropocentric view on nature as a whole does not align itself, necessarily, with the idea that nature is made for

and to be ruled by humans.

Rather, the will to control comes from the desire to understand.

Understanding is humanities greatest tool for domination over everything within that spectrum of the known.

Within this strive for knowledge,

much of what exists becomes contorted and conformed to fit within the preset structural confines of humanities understanding.

Everything must have its logically designated position within this system. Every animal, plant, stone and stick.

What is left are ideas of things, rather than the things themselves.

The abstraction of reality enables us to better puzzle customized pieces together to expand our anthropocentric desire for

understanding and control.
